Abstract

This Quarterly Research Report from the Decimalytics Institute for Economic Advancement examines how structural racism operates across the United States economy through interconnected policy, institutional, and market systems. Drawing on interdisciplinary research in economics, public policy, sociology, and urban studies, the report analyzes disparities across housing, finance, labor markets, education, entrepreneurship, environmental conditions, and macroeconomic governance.

Rather than treating racial inequality as a series of isolated outcomes, this report presents a systems-level framework that demonstrates how institutional design, historical policy decisions, and contemporary governance practices reinforce economic disparities over time. The analysis is intended to support policymakers, researchers, educators, and community leaders seeking evidence-based strategies for advancing economic equity at the federal and state levels.
